Background: Skraj' Im's father Darien Jehrade was a representative of Wrythos IV. When Skraj' Im was an infant, his parents were attacked by Loag Assassins. They were killed, and their Coynite bodyguard managed to escape with their son. He raised Skraj' Im as his own, and eventually told him of his past and his destiny. He left Coyn to become a New Republic officer. He now holds the rank of Lieutenant. Unbeknownst to Skraj'Im, his parents Darien and Kiria Bain Jehrade had two twin sons, Vidar and Vali. Vidar has grown up to become Skraj'Im, and Vali Jehrade beacame the Loag Assassin named Shentao Ken. The infant Vali was stolen and brought back to Merisee by the sole surviving assassin, and was lied to about his past. Vali was trained by the Loag and has never known the truth.

Personality: Skraj' Im is at first glance a very capable recruiter, a fierce warrior, and a loyal member of the New Republic. However, his past haunts him and drives him to become the best of the best. He does not tolerate weakness, and follows strictly the code of the Coynites. He can therefore seem cold and distant, but at times he shows how truly honorable and compassionate he is. He is always on top of a situation, and never blinks in the face of danger. He serves his Republic with dignity and respect. Skraj' Im is destined, he believes, to right what destroyed his human family.

Connection with other characters: When Skraj' Im left Coyn, he joined the New Republic and was taken under the wing of Sed Atum who was his father's retainer. They are charged with the duty of recruiting soldiers for the New Republic Army, as punishment for having lost members of their squad in the field. They have been instructed to seek out an Imperial assassin named Archemedes, but find the man matching the description to be a clutz named Roybis.
